The Time has Come...
Thanos and the Black Order have invaded Attilan to take on Black Bolt and the Inhumans. Working as a team, the menacing crew must work their way through the various levels of Attilan before they are given the opportunity to break through to Black Bolt's throne.
Upon the release of Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, I was immediately moved onto the dlc. There were 6 packs altogether, based around the movies that have been released recently such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Black Panther. The most recent release was obviously Avengers Infinity War; which was also the level I worked on. We decided that since we weren't aware of what content would be in the film, we opted to make a prelude to it based it off the comic; where Thanos arrives at Attilan to force Black Bolt and the InHumans to pledge their allegiance to him.
This was by far the biggest section I had worked on up until this point at TT; and I was given quite a loose design which allowed me to embellish on the overall ideas. Obviously this is a game aimed primarily at children, and so we try to put gags in where possible. I used this opportunity to make a boxing glove which punches the cart near the beginning, and later on where theres a conveyor which is carrying rockets; this also occasionally has either a Teddy Bear, a tray of Sushi or a Suitcase. All of the lego was of my own design and I'm proud of it all but in particular the first door with the security camera, and the final door which gets screwed off by a mechanical arm.
As with the others; for this level, I also made and setup all of the interactions and puzzles that involve lego, including building and animating the lego, but setting up and framing every cutscene you see also.
The first video is a playthrough of the story, the second is a full playthrough complete with the freeplay sections only accessible with certain characters.
The dlc was released in 2018 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
